Salem UCC is located around the corner from Frostburg State University.  We seek to provide a stimulating and welcoming worship for college students, faculty and staff. Because our Associate in Ministry, Dr. Dixon, is on the music faculty at FSU, she is able, on occasion, to arrange visiting choral and instrumental groups to assist with music in worship  During the fall and spring we offer "Marvelous Mondays," an after-school program for elementary-aged children that includes recreation, craft, bible study and community building.  Families join the children for a simple dinner.  Also coming for dinner are adults who attend "Spiritual Deepenings," a course in spiritual practices and disciplines. This is a congregation that seeks to take seriously its redevelopment as a viable part of the body of Christ. Its primarily elderly membership is risking change in order to live and grow.
