First Congregational UCC
Praise ye the Lord. God formed us to praise Him, with our mouths, with our works, and with our witness. God is a Spirit and those that worship God must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.
On Sundays, 10:30 AM., we assemble together to praise the matchless Jesus. On a daily basis we demonstrate our love of God through work and witness.
Calendar Every member has a spiritual gift from God and a Christian ministry to perform. Come and discover your gift and serve in Christian ministry with us.
Children Activities Sunday School is at 9AM followed by a Special Children's Moment in the Sunday Morning Worship Service at 10:30PM. We are in the process of planning an extravagant Children's Church of Praise and Worship and invite you to join us in this planning process. This Activity will be kick-started with Vacation Bible School this Summer and will continue throughout the year.
Youth Activities Our Youth Group meets twice monthly. In the second week of the month the Youth meet for a Group Discussion, and also make final preparations for our Monthly Outing. All Church Youth and their friends are invited to participate. We are also in long-range planning for a major, high adventure trip to the Minnesota/Canada border waters for an extended camping and canoe trip. On a regular basis, our Youth Group leads the Sunday Morning Worship including presentation of the message.
Senior Activities Our Seniors Ministering to Seniors is purposed to the active participation of our Seniors, especially our home-bound, that they not be forgotten after so many years of faithful service. If our shut-ins can get to the doctor, then we ought to be able to get them to church once a month for a noon fellowship and luncheon.
Pastor
Rev. Paul Suedmeyer and his wife, Martha, are facilitating an Adult Bible Discussion class that meets during the Sunday School Hour from 9-10 AM. We are reading the Bible in one year. Daily reading assignments are in the Sunday Bulletins. We are seeking to hear together what God is saying to us through His Holy Word. Many will enjoy this class, along with our prayerful and lively discussions.
